Newsweek, CNN, and others have drawn attention to the upcoming verdict that will decide whether former Police Officer Jason Stockley will be found guilty of murder. Stockley fatally shot Anthony Lamar Smith five times on December 20, 2011. Sociology Professor Odis Johnson, who recently completed a major research study of racial biases in officer-related shootings, will help to contextualize this case.
